Maybe I should toss it all! <\/em><\/p>\n<p>The best <a href=\"http:\/\/www.crankymonkeybutt.com\/lists\/2009\/03\/duff_at_the_movies_2009.html\">movie <\/a>I saw in April was <a href=\"http:\/\/www.crankymonkeybutt.com\/snip\/archives\/2009\/04\/big_screen_suns_1.html\"><strong>Sunshine Cleaning<\/strong><\/a>.  Not mindblowing but certainly worth seeing.<\/p>\n<p>The best <a href=\"http:\/\/www.crankymonkeybutt.com\/lists\/2009\/03\/books_read_in_2009.html\">book <\/a>I read in April was <a href=\"http:\/\/www.crankymonkeybutt.com\/snip\/archives\/2009\/06\/fiction_little.html\"><strong>Little Bee by Chris Cleave<\/strong><\/a>.  Really intense and thoughtful.  Wasn&#8217;t totally thrilled with the ending, but that wasn&#8217;t enough to make me stop thinking about it and recommending it to people.<\/p>\n<p>The best <a href=\"http:\/\/www.crankymonkeybutt.com\/lists\/2009\/02\/duff_does_live_music_2009.html\">gig <\/a>I went to in April doesn&#8217;t exist (as with March). (I have NOT been going to shows this year. Not sure what&#8217;s happening there.)<\/p>\n<p>My favorite tunes in April were <a href=\"http:\/\/www.crankymonkeybutt.com\/snip\/archives\/2009\/05\/april_album_rev_1.html\">new albums<\/a> from <strong>Gomez<\/strong> and <strong>Great Lake Swimmers<\/strong>, two of my very favorite bands.  And my favorite single was <strong>&#8220;Lights Off&#8221; The Dears<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><em>Random personal highlights:<\/em> I paid a visit to my friends in Milwaukee.  Was that the month the <strong>Settlers of Catan<\/strong> craziness started?  I think it may have been.  One of several goodbye parties for Jen &#038; Naz (fun party, sad occasion.<\/p>\n<p><em>Lowlights?<\/em> You know, at this point, really, I don&#8217;t remember!
