Wow. It was stunning. There&#8217;s a big break in the narrative about three-quarters of the way through, the POV changes, and then the ending goes to a completely different place than I expected. I thought it was really, really beautifully written. The characters all seemed absolutely real. Highly recommended.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I read <a href=\"http:\/\/crankymonkeybutt.com\/snip\/archives\/2007\/01\/fiction_beasts_.html\">an earlier book of his a decade ago<\/a> and liked it, but not nearly as much as this. I love seeing people grow as authors!
