{"id":802,"date":"2008-03-18T15:59:30","date_gmt":"2008-03-18T15:59:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/crankymonkeybutt.com\/wordpress\/?p=802"},"modified":"2025-04-05T15:27:17","modified_gmt":"2025-04-05T20:27:17","slug":"recommendation_","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/crankymonkeybutt.com\/snip\/archives\/2008\/03\/recommendation_.html","title":{"rendered":"Recommendation."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I didn&#8217;t even realize that <strong>Anthony Minghella <\/strong>was the director of one of my favorite guilty pleasure films and yes although I do love <strong>The English Patient <\/strong>(one of the <u>rare<\/u> combinations where I love both the film <u>AND<\/u> the movie) and yes I thought Matt Damon was great in <strong>The Talented Mr. Ripley <\/strong>but no that&#8217;s not what I&#8217;m talking about.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/imdb.com\/title\/tt0107613\/\"><strong>Mr. Wonderful<\/strong><\/a>. Rent it. It&#8217;s sweet and funny and <strong>Matt Dillon <\/strong>is completely irresistible in it and William Hurt is as icky as ever and it&#8217;s got New York City and bowling and big Italian family scenes and (sort of) karaoke and all kinds of good stuff. And I have already seen it oh 78.9 billion times.
