Ah, March, I barely remember you… Ha! Kidding!<\/p>\n
The best movie <\/a>I saw in March was also the only movie I saw (Be Kind, Rewind<\/strong><\/a>), so good thing I enjoyed it.<\/p>\n The best book <\/a>I read in March was definitely The Complete Stories by David Malouf<\/strong><\/a>. Really wonderful stories.<\/p>\n The best gig <\/a>I went to in March is harder to pin down. I was excited to finally see Matt Nathanson<\/strong> <\/a>and (separately) Dan le Sac<\/strong><\/a>. I thought the Raveonettes<\/strong> <\/a>sounded great. I probably enjoyed Griffin House<\/strong> <\/a>the most as he was all sassy and laidback and it was a really fun night.<\/p>\n My favorite tunes <\/strong>in March were lots of stuff I was already listening to from February, like new albums from Missy Higgins<\/strong>, Nada Surf<\/strong>, Scotland Yard Gospel Choir<\/strong>, Bon Iver<\/strong>, Mike Doughty <\/strong>and the Raveonettes<\/strong>; but also stuff I bought in March like new albums from Jesse Malin “Glitter in the Gutter”<\/strong> (which I lovelovelove), Stephen Malkmus & the Jicks <\/strong>and Gnarls Barkley <\/strong>(DangerMouse can do no wrong)!!<\/p>\n Random personal highlights:<\/em> Hmmm, let’s see, nine-day trip to Japan, I guess that was kind-of a highlight (I guess! Ha!); my newest\/youngest cousin was born!: Clark and I had a joint party; and I had a great long Saturday with Carlos and Shei getting back into shooting film<\/u> (vs. digital).<\/p>\n Lowlights? <\/em> Long, long, long airplane rides.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Ah, March, I barely remember you… Ha!
