{"id":985,"date":"2008-08-22T07:35:52","date_gmt":"2008-08-22T07:35:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/crankymonkeybutt.com\/wordpress\/?p=985"},"modified":"2011-10-29T12:09:35","modified_gmt":"2011-10-29T17:09:35","slug":"getting_psyched","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/crankymonkeybutt.com\/snip\/archives\/2008\/08\/getting_psyched.html","title":{"rendered":"Getting PSYCHED for Monolith."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I know, I know, I&#8217;m getting so old and cranky, I seem to mostly regret festivals afterward&#8230;.but I just couldn&#8217;t resist the lineup for this one PLUS the bonus of visiting Colorado friends, staying for free, drinking beer, playing with puppies&#8230;  Yeah yeah yeah.<\/p>\n<p>Anyway, one of the BIG reasons to buy a <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.monolithfestival.com\/\">Monolith <\/a><\/strong>ticket is to see <strong>The Avett Brothers<\/strong>, who technically I SHOULD have already seen since I had tickets to their House of Blues show in Chicago (least favorite Chicago venue) but I blew it off during a horrific w-0-r-k week.<\/p>\n<p>Check out <a href=\"http:\/\/rosylittlethings.typepad.com\/posie_gets_cozy\/2008\/08\/whatever-you-do.html\">the video Alicia posted <\/a>and <a href=\"http:\/\/fuelfriends.blogspot.com\/2008\/08\/avett-brothers-yeah-so-worth-drive.html\">the live performance Heather posted<\/a> and I mean&#8230;  OK so maybe they&#8217;re a little more country than what you usually listen to?  But they are also maybe a little more awesome than what you usually listen to.  Yay yay yay!
