Rosanne Cash “Black Cadillac.” Turgid and moody, thickly layered, questioning. Love it.

Can you buy “records” with scary “covers” ?
I am digging this “I Write Summer Songs for No Reason” song by Acid House that Pandora is playing me. But the album cover is freaking me out.
Girlie Tunes.
Normally I am all about the melancholy boys. But yesterday I got the new Beth Orton “Comfort of Strangers” and the finally-released-in-the-states KT Tunstall “Eye to the Telescope.” Add those to Cat Power and Jenny Lewis and it’s a very girlie month here in February, that it is.
The Very Best of Lisa Loeb.
Seriously? She had more than one song?
Not Your Normal Duff Reaction
So one of my co-workers has me listening to KEXP. And while perusing their DJ’s Best of 2005 lists, one album kept popping up over and over: Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings “Naturally”. I’m diggin’ it.
All men are liars, their words ain’t worth no more than worn out tires…
Nick DrakeLowe is a genius. Why didn’t anyone tell me about this song before? (And it was a man that sent it to me.)
From My Ears to Yours.
Check out Pandora. Fun! Thanks, KC!
I sooooooooooo disagree.
I usually think Michael Schaub is a God. And yes, his “screenplay” of Crash did make me bust out laughing. But in this case, he’s wrong. It’s a much better movie than Me, You and Everyone We Know. Which was desperate, sad, pathetic and ICKY. Those of you who liked Napoleon Dynamite — another sad, desperate and PAINFUL movie — you might like it. Painful, and painfully NOT funny. Both of them.
Do You Know Sera Cahoone?
Listen to “Couch Song” at least. I really need this CD, man.

Cat Power. Bob Schneider. Cat Power. Bob Schneider.
This is what I’m listening to tonight….
